Diakhao Fatick Well

We are raising funds to build a sustainable community well in Fatick, Senegal, where dependable access to clean water can be challenging. Many families must travel long distances or rely on limited water sources for drinking, cooking, washing, and other daily needs. This burden often falls on women and children, taking valuable time away from education, work, and family life. The project will provide a safe and accessible source of water for the community. Donations will help cover essential expenses, including the site assessment, drilling, construction, water pump and storage equipment, water-quality testing, transportation of materials, and training local community members to operate and maintain the well. A new well will do more than provide water. It can help reduce water-related illness, improve hygiene and sanitation, support children’s education, and strengthen local livelihoods. The project will be carried out in collaboration with community representatives so that the well is properly located, responsibly managed, and maintained for years to come.
